Gatekeeper

Gatekeeper is a Jelly Roll friendly design that quick to piece and has loads of design coloring options. The secondary pattern created with pieced sashing encourages 9-patch or trip around the world coloring. I harvested or upcycled two men's shirts to get the fabric for the sashing. Anything goes because the maker is the Gatekeeper. No special tools are needed, however a 8.5" square is handy. 

Supply list: 

(36 total) 2½” x 40” strips, (12 assorted fabrics; 3 strips per fabric)

1¼ yard, single color or (20) 2½” x 40” strips assorted for accent cornerstones

1 yard, single color or (45) 5” x 5” squares

1¼ yards sashing or 1 large men’s long sleeve dress shirt
