Polygon Charm School: Half Hexagon (school starts: October 1st, 2022)
Step 1: Download and read the article. A history of charm quilts - Antique Quilt History
Step 2: Decide if this project is for you.
Step 3: You have 2 size options and at least 4 design layouts. You can take your time or commit to completing one quilt in 30 days. Now to complete a quilt in 30 days, the size may depend on how many charms you have cut and the time you have available to stitch. If you want a certain size, by all means take your time.
Cutting: Cut 3" strips if using the Polygon2 for the Half-Hexagon; cut between the marked lines of Pyramid and Hexagon. Cut 2" strips if using the 1-1/2" Half Hexagon from the Polygon Acrylic Template Set.
Keep strips in a box so you are ready for next PCS session.
Step 4: Decide what scale you are going to do (Full Scale using Polygon2 or miniature using the 1-1/2" half-hexagon.
Step 5: Registration is open. Prep starts immediately. Send any pre-registration questions to Gyleen's Polygon Affair Facebook group page.
Step 6: Cost is $25 per session (1 month). You get 3 or more designs for each shape; FB lives for basic design construction and 1 Zoom live for the launch. (yeah, baby stepping up the game, we're stitching together). There will be a discount (like free) on the bonus session using the Polygon5 tool based on number of previous sessions attended.
October bonus, yes, it's my birthday present to you. We are doing 2 shapes for the price of one. The second shape will need the Polygon4 Tool. If you don't have this tool already ... sad face ... there will be a bundle package for Tool and 1 pattern for $30.
Step 7: 8 total sessions gives you one of 2 bonus sessions.
1 shape per session: basically, every shape my tools make: diamond, cone, hexagon, half-hexagon, pyramid, kite, gem, house and par-d.
Take 6 sessions, you get bonus session free. Take all sessions (including both bonuses), you get the super bonus free.
